MTV Pro-Shot Video - Pit/FOH Cameras).
This is from the Slickmode/JAM/Hugo collection. Huge thanks to Hugo for allowing me to transfer all of his DAT masters and sent over a few DVDs with some things on this, including these two angles. Personal Jesus was broadcasted live on MTV. I remember watching live waiting for it and it was very truncated. Only a few moments of the song was actually broadcasted.
Hugo acquired these two angles over the years. It was never released, until now. Pretty wild to see this footage. I remember hearing about it back then and this tour is one of my favorites. Probably because of how young I was and really started getting in to collecting Depeche Mode live tapes at the time.
The pit footage only has the first 4 songs. As that was all you were allowed to shoot from the pit. The FOH camera has all 4 tracks at the beginning and then crowd shots of 'I Feel Loved.' I am assuming MTV was also not allowed to film the stage for that song. Personal Jesus is complete, unlike the MTV broadcast.
